Erik Zaiatz
As the Founder and CEO of Bostonian Barber Shop, Erik leads the brand’s overall direction, culture, and expansion. Though not behind the chair, he is deeply involved in the day-to-day operations, team development, and client experience that define each Bostonian location. His commitment to quality, consistency, and community has helped establish Bostonian Barber Shop as an award-winning name in Boston and the South Shore.
Founder & CEO
Matt Penardi
Matt is the manager of Bostonian Barber Shop’s Whitman location and has been a barber since 2012. He helped build the brand from the ground up alongside Erik, playing a key role in shaping the culture and standards that define Bostonian today. Known for his attention to detail, hands-on leadership, and consistency, Matt splits his time between leading the team and working with clients. When he’s not behind the chair, you’ll find him in the back of the shop building custom golf clubs between appointments, blending his passion for barbering and golf
Manager & Master Barber
Dave is a master barber with over 18 years of experience and has been with Bostonian Barber Shop since the Fenway location opened in 2016. Originally Erik’s barber, Dave is the reason the Fenway shop exists — when he decided to come over, Fenway became a reality. As the manager of the Fenway location, Dave has helped shape the culture, standards, and attention to detail that define the shop. Known for his meticulous approach, crispy fades, and expert beard work, he sets the bar behind the chair every day. Outside the shop, Dave spends his time riding motorcycles, snowboarding, and being a proud dad.
Manager & Master BarberDavid Marks
Devin has been cutting hair for 10 years and started his journey in our Whitman shop before jumping over to run the Hanson location. He’s known for being extremely meticulous, with an eye for detail that shows in every cut. When he’s not behind the chair, Devin’s either in the kitchen cooking, training for a marathon, or reminding everyone (unprompted) that he’s hilarious. Come for the precision, stay for the jokes.
Manager & Master BarberDevin Bradley
Kayla Zaiatz
Kayla has been cutting hair for 14 years, starting out as a cosmetologist before making the move to barbering — a decision that ultimately sparked the creation of Bostonian Barber Shop. Quite literally, there wouldn’t be a shop without her. Carrying on a family legacy started by her grandfather, who owned the Hanson shop for over 50 years, Kayla blends tradition with modern barbering at the highest level. She’s also a mom to two young sons, and when she’s not in the shop, she’s spending time with her family, going to shows, or cutting backstage at music festivals and concerts with Idle Hand Collective.
Master Barber
John Rossitter
John has been with us since day one and has been cutting hair for over 12 years. He was the very first barber we hired after opening, coming straight out of school and quickly developing into one of the best haircutters in the state. Known for having some of the crispiest fades you’ll ever see, John sets the standard behind the chair. When he’s not in the shop, he’s usually fishing, hanging with his dogs, or spending time with his family as a proud dad.
Master Barber
Corey has been cutting hair for 12 years and works out of our Whitman location. He also travels cutting backstage at music festivals with Idle Hand Collective, keeping artists fresh behind the scenes. When he’s not behind the chair, Corey’s usually on the golf course, working on his cars, spending time with his dogs… or fully committed to ducks — real ducks, rubber ducks, all ducks. Clean cuts, good vibes, and never ducking the details.
BarberCorey Leblanc
Than has been cutting hair for 5 years after making the leap from a career in screen printing. A client since opening day and friends with most of the crew for over 20 years, he was already family long before he ever picked up the clippers. A retired hardcore kid at heart, Than spends his time outside the shop playing video games and taking care of his ever-growing collection of creatures and reptiles. Solid cuts, good energy, and always a familiar face.

Nate Martin
Nate works out of our Whitman shop and has been cutting hair for over 4 years, getting his start back in high school as a side hustle that quickly turned into a career. He’s a well-rounded barber known for building strong relationships with his clients and delivering consistently clean cuts. Outside the shop, Nate’s a big foodie who loves to travel and is always on the hunt for his next great meal or new destination.

Tyler Laubenstein
Tyler has been cutting hair for 6 years and started out at our Hanson location in 2023 before moving over to Whitman in 2025. He’s grown quickly into a true workhorse, known for delivering consistent, top-notch cuts day in and day out. Reliable, focused, and always leveling up, Tyler brings the kind of energy you want behind the chair.
Barber
Ryan has been cutting hair for 20 years and is a true lifer in the craft. When he’s not behind the chair, he’s on stage with his legendary Boston hardcore band Slapshot, riding motorcycles, or holding it down as a bar owner at The Dipper — home of one of the best bar pies around. On top of it all, Ryan’s a proud dad, balancing family life with music, business, and barbering like a pro.

William has been cutting hair for 14 years and brings the same focus whether he’s in the shop or backstage at a music festival. As part of Idle Hand Collective, he travels the country keeping artists fresh behind the scenes. When the clippers are off, William’s usually on his motorcycle or posted up by the water with a fishing rod

Nolan works out of our Fenway location and has been cutting hair for over 13 years. Known around the shop as the resident mullet specialist, Nolan isn’t afraid to push style while keeping every cut clean and wearable. When he’s not behind the chair, he’s usually deep into music or nerding out on card games — bringing creativity, precision, and a little edge to every appointment.

Roy Ortiz
Roy works out of our Fenway location and has been cutting hair for over 14 years. He specializes in everything from sharp fades and clean tapers to longer styles and textured cuts, with extensive experience working with all hair types, including ethnic hair. Bilingual and detail-driven, Roy brings precision, versatility, and professionalism to every appointment.
Master Barber
Eddy has been cutting hair for 10 years and is known for crisp fades, clean beard work, and straight-razor shaves that don’t miss. Based out of our Fenway shop, he takes pride in delivering consistent, detail-driven service to Boston locals and visitors alike. If you’re looking for precision and a polished finish, Eddy’s your guy.
Barbereddy Feeney
Evan has been cutting hair for 5 years, starting out at our Whitman location before making the move to Hanson. He brings focus and consistency to every cut, with the same rhythm and timing that make him a great drummer. When he’s not in the shop, Evan’s usually around motorcycles or leaning into music — and yes, he’s been called the songbird of this generation (by very credible sources).
